About This Role:

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Lead who is passionate about delivering high-quality applications to our customers. As the QA Automation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and scaling our mobile and web test automation efforts. With a strong background in software testing, automation frameworks, and leading QA teams, you will ensure the reliability and performance of our native iOS and Android applications, as well as our React web application. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to define test plans and ensure seamless integration with our development process.
  • Developing, managing, and maintaining our mobile and web test automation strategy, tools, and frameworks.
  • Leading and mentoring our development team in designing and implementing test automation code for mobile and web applications.
  • Establishing quality metrics, monitoring progress, and driving continuous improvement in product quality.
  • Managing manual testing cycles and providing guidance to the team on best practices.
  • Reviewing test results, documenting and tracking defects to resolution.
  • Participating in product requirement analysis and offering input on testability and coverage.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in mobile and web testing and automation, ensuring our quality processes and tools remain effective.

At present, we are utilizing Appium with Java for native mobile applications and Cypress with JavaScript for the React web application. However, please note that our usage of these tools are in the early stages and open to evaluation. As the QA Automation Lead, you will have the full confidence of your manager to assess and choose the right tools that best align with our goals and objectives.

Additional Information:

The Senior QA Automation Lead is a hybrid model position, working at least 3 days a week from our Tel Aviv offices.

Qualifications:

  • A top talent quality engineer with significant experience in developing automation frameworks, writing test plans, and test automation code.
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on mobile and web test automation.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing quality teams, with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring QA professionals.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of various testing methodologies for mobile and web applications (functional, regression, performance, E2E, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes and tools such as Jira.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes and tools, including GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms, such as BrowserStack, for achieving broad device and browser coverage.
