“OneStep made an enormous difference in my life.”

Marian Naidoo, UK

Marian is a 67-year-old retired healthcare professional who suffered from knee pain her entire life. After a recent total knee replacement surgery, she looked for ways to get back to everyday activities she loves: playing with her grandchildren, going to the gym, and taking her dogs on a walk - pain-free and worry-free. Then, she found OneStep.

“It wasn’t until OneStep that I’m finally on my way to full recovery.”

Tom Foran, CA, USA

Tom is a 68-year-old retired computer consultant who suffered from knee pain most of his life. After a recent total knee replacement surgery, in-person PT and home exercise, Tom decided to look for a solution to fix his walk - which he didn't know how to adjust. Once he came across OneStep, he realized this was the solution he was looking for.

“All I need to do is focus on my patients and what they need - OneStep takes care of the rest.”

Over the course of just a few recorded walks I was able to learn about and improve my gait on my own. You’d think walking unhindered by disease or injury would be instinctive but the gait analysis information reported by OneStep enabled me to monitor and focus on certain aspects of my technique, which has improved markedly, becoming faster, smoother, more efficient and less tiring.
Due to several years of severe back pain I had walked very little for about a year and a half before the surgeries. When I started PT after these surgeries I found that the geometry of my lower body had been changed but the operations and the muscles in my glutes, hips, legs and calves had atrophied. I was unable to walk any distance at all without a walker, was very shaky and unstable and my stride was jerky and uneven.
The road to full recovery from a total knee replacement is long and fraught with anxiety. “Will I ever walk normally?” is a lingering worry. Being able to see tangible progress was a tremendous boost to my mental health during this time. The 24/7 availability of a physical therapist was especially reassuring. For patients who can’t afford, find the time for, or arrange transportation to outpatient physical therapy, OneStep is a cost-effective way to obtain the Physical Therapy guidance that will help restore full functionality after surgery.
