At OneStep, our team is made up of clinicians who think differently — and few bring that mix of heart, hustle, and insight quite like Michelle, a powerhouse Customer Success Manager with roots in both finance and physical therapy.
From Financial Models to Gait Patterns
Michelle’s path to healthcare wasn’t linear — and that’s what makes her so uniquely effective.
After graduating from Binghamton with a degree in financial economics, she spent four years working in corporate finance and data analysis. But behind the spreadsheets, she was craving something more human.
“I wanted to work with people. I wanted healthcare. PT felt like the perfect blend — analytical and creative, but still deeply personal.”
She pivoted careers, completed her DPT at Hunter College, and dove into orthopedic care — thriving in the clinical setting where she could problem-solve in real time and build meaningful relationships with patients.
A Digital Shift That Clicked
Michelle’s move into digital health came during the pandemic — and by her own words, it was “kind of an accident.” But it’s one she never looked back from.
“OneStep is the first role that truly brings everything together — my finance background, my clinical mind, and my love for collaborating with people.”
Today, she works closely with rehab directors and clinical teams, helping them integrate gait analysis and remote monitoring into their workflows. Her secret sauce? Empathy. Because she’s been in their shoes.
“There’s instant trust. They know I get what they’re dealing with — and I can help.”
Michelle also loves helping patients connect the dots between how they feel and what the data shows.
“Back in the clinic, I always wished I had a tool like OneStep. Something objective, real, and easy to share with patients. This changes the conversation.”
Creative Energy, Inside and Out
When she’s not consulting on clinical strategy or helping partners grow their programs, Michelle is living life in Astoria, Queens with her husband and son. You might find her:
- Doing Pilates (reformer-style!)
- Strolling through NYC parks
- Or — fun fact — making homemade soap and candles, a crafty hobby she picked up from a patient
Here’s to Michelle
We’re lucky to have a teammate who brings both precision and warmth to every interaction — with customers, patients, and colleagues alike.
Michelle’s journey reminds us that healthcare innovation isn’t just about new tools — it’s about the people behind them, and the purpose they bring to every step.
